The client
MMAON is a sports-tech company from Slovenia building the digital home for mixed martial arts, a sport with more than 500 million fans. It had a strong business team and real partners in the sport, including the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation.
The challenge
The ambition was clear, but almost everything needed to get there was missing:
- No tech team: no developers to build the platform, the token or the smart contract.
- No community: no crypto audience or supporters ready to buy on day one.
- No exposure: unknown to crypto media, investors and exchanges.
- No fundraising route: no tokenomics, sale structure or launchpad relationships.
What we did
We became MMAON's Web3 department and worked through seven steps, from choosing the blockchain route to building on the platform after the sale.
1. Choosing the route. We mapped how MMAON makes money and recommended a utility token, so it could raise funds without giving up equity. We built on Ethereum, the network most widely supported by wallets and exchanges. We chose an IEO, a sale hosted and vetted by an exchange, which gives a new project credibility and direct access to buyers.
2. Designing the token. We tied the token to what fans already do: tipping fighters, unlocking exclusive content, voting, shopping, pay-per-view, and staking for rewards. We set a supply of 100 million tokens at $0.10, with 53% for the public sale so the community would hold the largest share. Team and advisor tokens were locked for one to three years. We then wrote all of it into a 37-page whitepaper, the document exchanges review before hosting a sale.

3. Building the product and the contract. Investors want to see a working product before they buy, so we built the MMAON MVP: a social platform where fans follow fighters, share content and tip with the token. It included a token wallet, KYC and two-factor security from the start. We wrote the ERC-20 smart contract, verified its source code publicly on Etherscan and ran a security check before any marketing began.

4. Running the 3-month campaign. Month one built the foundation: the story, content and launch materials. Month two was pre-launch awareness and community growth. Month three was the final push into the IEO.
- PR: coverage in MarketWatch, Cointelegraph and Coinspeaker, focused on Asia and Southeast Asia with reach into Europe, the Pacific and the US, generating 15M+ clicks.

- Community: grown from zero to 10,000+ members in three months through organic engagement, not bots. X followers grew 300% and Instagram followers 1,500%.

- AMAs and influencers: live AMAs in established Telegram communities such as BlockTalks, alongside credible crypto influencers. Together they added 3,000+ members and reached 200,000+ potential participants.

5. Launching the IEO on ProBit. We compared several exchange launchpads and recommended ProBit, a top-25 exchange at the time with an active base of buyers, then managed the full onboarding. The IEO ran in two rounds from 22 to 30 March 2021. Round 1, 5 million tokens, sold out, and the IEO closed at $800,000.

6. Listing and liquidity. A raise isn't the finish line, because buyers need somewhere to trade. Trading opened on ProBit on 1 April 2021. We listed MMAON on Uniswap with a liquidity pool, and secured price tracking on CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko.

7. Building after the sale. We kept the token in real use. BRAVE Combat Federation, one of the world's largest MMA promotions, paid fighter bonuses in MMAON through the smart contract, recorded onchain. In 2026, we're relaunching the platform with live MMA fight prediction markets powered by Polymarket. MMAON earns a fee on every bet placed, a recurring revenue line that grows with activity.
